if you choose Open URL from the file menu and enter the site as follows...
file://ftp.site.somewhere
this should give you the interface your looking for...

I get the message, Can't find BWCCENG.DLL. I presume that the distribution is
not quite complete. Most of the time, I can connect, but occasionaly I can't
see anyone elses text come up.

Maybe there's something wrong with your system? Wintalk certainly
doesn't crash NT for me. Wintalk doesn't work, either. I tried for a few
days to get it to work, to no avail, and finally gave up.
